Lathom-Carter Wedding Pictures

Well, my first wedding here in the Concord area was unbelievable.  The Lathom Family welcomed me and made me feel like part of the family and it was an honor to be a part of such a special day.  When Mr. Lathom gave his toast and talked about his daughter, I began to tear up!  Such an amazing event.  I am working through all the images from the wedding and getting them uploaded today.  Wow!  12 hours of taking pictures is alot of images.  As much work as it is for me, I know it is not going to be easy to pick their favorites.  I have a few that are my favorites, though.  Here they are:

I am still booking weddings for the end of summer and fall!  Give me a call to setup a consult appointment.

The Resurrection of the RLP Blog

With my recent move to Concord, NC this blog has been resurrected to help get the word out that I am in town and ready to provide photography services to the area.  Since I have moved here, I have been honored to be so quickly welcomed into the community.  This area is not only beautiful, but filled with amazing people.  Since I am an active duty officer, I sometimes frequent businesses in Harrisburg and Concord in my uniform and the attention I get from the people I meet is astounding.  I have never felt so blessed to be around so many people who support the military.

I have also found a CrossFit home at CrossFit Harrisburg. Frankie and Josh and the rest of the crew there are just awesome.  The athletes that work out there are positively motivating and, again, I am honored to be able to coach them, be coached by them, and work out beside them.

I believe in my ability to provide quality images, great customer service, and have fun doing it.  Apparently, there are others who believe in me also.  I was fortunate enough to meet the Lathom family through a post on Thumbtack.com. Their daughter is getting married on 3 August.  I was able to meet with the bride, groom, and the bride's parents.  During that meeting we talked about the wedding and I got so excited about the event that I just had to be a part of it!  I was elated when they decided to choose me without hesitation.

Prior to the wedding, I was able to do some bridal portraits that came out amazing!  The shoot was so much fun and the weather was perfect.  Check out some of the images from the session:

I am really looking forward to the wedding next weekend!  It is going to be amazing.

I am open for portrait sessions on weekends and evenings and I am running a special right now for Senior Portraits:

I love babies

I do.  I can't help it.  I don't know what it is.  I get around a baby and I just feel...happy.  I feel alive.  I especially enjoy photographing babies.  To be able to capture the emerging personality of a baby is a joy.  To see a mother's face when I show her the images is priceless!  I really love shooting babies!

National Corvette Museum

I can honestly say that I am a car enthusiast. I love to see the shapes and sounds and technology, but mostly, I like the progression of the style over the years. It was a great opportunity to learn not only about the corvette, but about the history of our country and how it affected sports car production. I found it interesting that the corvette almost didn't survive, with the horsepower dipping from over 400, in its first production, to under 200 in the late 1970's. All of these cars mark our country's history, from wars to lunar landings and back to wars again. It will be interesting to see what comes next for the corvette. Whatever it is, I am sure I am not the only American who will be more than a little intrigued by it.

Got Married and had my camera with!

OK, so most of my friends and family know that I am married to the always delightful, intriguing, intelligent, beautiful, and just all around wonderful woman, previously known as Diana J. Salerno (now Schulz). We got married in a quaint little ceremony in Myrtle Beach, SC. The photographer at the wedding was probably NOT a trained photographer, but got some decent shots of us, but I got some fun shots of us in the hotel room after the ceremony. Just a few fun shots we took before I had to take my dream woman out and show her off to the rest of the world!
